Tribute to Mr. V A Mali (1911-2011)

Two monthsago, on 22 nd August 2011, he completed 100 years of age and embarkedon his 101st year. A long and eventfuljourney; where the spirit was raring-to-go, even till this grand age. While oneMahatma is internationally acclaimed as the trailblazer of the Freedom of IndiaMovement, the other of circumscribed renown is Master Sculptor Late ShriVinayak Pandurang Karmarkar – Rodin of Indian sculpture. It wouldn’t be wrongto even call Rodin as the Karmarkar of Europe! One of the great master sculptors of India, Mr. Karmarkarwas motivated by the thoughts of the Freedom of India Movement.
