The original ‘sitting, stacking, lighting thing’ – Tom Dixon’s award-winning first experiment with plastic is now suitable for wet areas...

Designed in 1994, Jack was one of Tom’s first experiences with plastic. Made by air rotational moulding, with a 5-part tool – the plastic polythene pellets are added into the tool and rotated on a large machine at a high temperature giving even wall thickness. Awarded Millenium Mark status in 1997 by the British government, the light fitting is now part of permanent exhibitions in the Victorian and Albert Museum, London and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, US.

These JACK lights are now suitable to go outdoors for use in wet spaces (IP44 and UL Damp rated).
